Discussion

<p>Here I do not distinguish between lysogenization and what I describe as a reduction to a prophage, i.e., to lysogeny. This perspective is similar to that of nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC180777/" class="bap-term" target=_blank>Lwoff (1953), p. 329, "Reduction of bacteriophage: Conversion of the infecting phage into prophage".
