What is the Phage Workers list? A curated, alphabetical directory of bacteriophage researchers — past and present — compiled by Stephen T. Abedon of phage.org, the Bacteriophage Ecology Group. It links researchers to their Google Scholar profiles, with Wikipedia pages and Nobel Prize links where confirmed. Phage workers are scientists who have made significant contributions to understanding bacteriophage biology, or who have used phages as model systems to illuminate broader biological principles. At least 11 individuals who made major contributions to phage research have won Nobel Prizes, all of whom appear on this list.
